Location

Our Host, Camp Alta, is 60 miles north of Sacramento off Highway 80.

Facilities include an 80 bed dorm,6 cabins with indoor showers, laundry facilities, RV hookups, and tent camping.

Recreational activities include swimming, volley-ball, softball, 9 square, frisbee golf, and hiking. Bring linens, blankets, and towels. Expect cool evenings and hot afternoons.

Our daily schedule is thoughtfully designed to provide a balance of worship, fellowship, rest, and reflection. Each activity is centered around deepening our connection with God and strengthening our sense of community. While structured, the itinerary allows for moments of personal growth and relaxation, ensuring a meaningful and enriching experience for all participants.

FAQ

The camp fee covers lodging, meals, and all scheduled activities, including worship services, talks, and group events.

We recommend bringing bedding (sheets, pillows, and blankets), clothing for various weather conditions, toiletries, a flashlight, and any personal items that will make your stay comfortable. A full packing list is provided on our website.

Nope. Our host camp has Cabins, and Dorms available that include full bathrooms. However there is an RV/Tent area available as well.

Yes! We hope you will choose to attend the event in its entirety so you get the full benefit of CFO in terms of fellowship and kingdom living, but we have also seen God work when people drop in for only a few hours, so come for as long as you’re able! Please contact the event registrar for part-time rates.

The CFO program goes through the whole day, but there is a 2 hour window in the afternoon for free time. 

Yes, we offer age-appropriate programs for children and teens, ensuring they fully engage in faith-based activities designed for their growth and connection with God.

Silver Sierra CFO is open to individuals and families of all ages who are seeking a Christ-centered retreat experience.

Nope, That is part of the beauty of CFO! It’s likely that you will meet Christians from a wide variety of backgrounds at a CFO event. Furthermore, CFO is not a church and is not intended to replace the role of the church. All attendees are urged to faithfulness in the church of their choice. The CFO experience simply expands and intensifies the effectiveness of one’s own church activity.

Yes! All of our leaders who serve with children have background checks as well as SA Training.

Yes, three meals are provided daily. We also encourage attendees to bring snacks for in-between meal times.

We want CFO to be accessible to everyone. If financial constraints are a concern, please contact us about scholarship opportunities and assistance programs.

Lodging is provided in cabins equipped with beds and mattresses. Some cabins include shared kitchen amenities such as a stove, small refrigerator, and microwave.
